Medjool dates store exceptionally well — one of the reasons they have been a staple food across the Middle East for thousands of years. When your order arrives from our Sky Valley farm, here is how to get the most out of them:

• Room temperature: Store in an airtight container in a cool, dark pantry for up to 1–2 months.
• Refrigerator: An airtight glass jar or container keeps dates fresh for up to 6 months. The cold firms them slightly — let them sit at room temperature for 10 minutes before eating.
• Freezer: Dates freeze beautifully for up to 1 year. Freeze in a single layer first, then transfer to a bag or container. Thaw at room temperature in 20–30 minutes.
• Bulk orders: For our 10 lb boxes, vacuum sealing individual portions before freezing is the best long-term strategy.
