We are Desert Sun Dates, a family date farm in Sky Valley, California, in the heart of the Coachella Valley. We sell bulk Medjool dates from $9.00 per pound, shipping included, direct from the trees they grew on. No distributor, no warehouse time, no freight surprise at checkout.

How bulk orders work
- Minimum order: 24 lbs for bulk pricing online. Want to taste first? Start with a single 8 or 12 lb case, or ask us for a sample.
- Packing: Sealed 1 lb and 2 lb food-grade containers, cartoned for shipping. A 36 lb order arrives as eighteen 2 lb containers, or thirty-six 1 lb — tell us the split you want. Nothing to repack, portion or re-label at your end.
- Lead time: Ships within 3 business days of your order. Transit is 2–5 business days nationwide, 1–2 days in Southern California.
- Grade: Jumbo Medjool, hand-sorted, whole with pits. Naturally ripened, no pesticides, no additives, no sugar coating.
- Holiday orders: Rosh Hashanah, Sukkot and Ramadan programs are booked ahead. Give us your date and we reserve the fruit.
- Standing orders: Monthly and quarterly schedules available. Tell us your volume and we hold it back at harvest.

Our ranch is in Sky Valley, minutes from Palm Springs, Palm Desert, Indio, Coachella, Cathedral City, La Quinta and Desert Hot Springs. Buyers in the valley can collect at the farm instead of shipping, and we can arrange delivery within the valley on larger orders.

Bulk questions
Can I get a sample before committing?
Yes. Ask for one with your quote request. Most of our bulk accounts started with a sample or a single case.
Are the dates kosher or organic certified?
They are grown without pesticides but we are not certified organic, and we do not hold a kosher certification. They are a single-ingredient whole fruit from our own ranch — we would rather tell you that plainly than imply a certification we don’t have.
Are they pitted?
No. Whole dates with pits intact, which is how they keep best. Ask us if you need pitted for a production run.
How long will they keep?
About three months at room temperature, nine months refrigerated, and over a year frozen. Bulk quantities are easy to hold.
Can I choose 1 lb or 2 lb containers?
Yes — tell us the split when you order and we pack it that way at no extra charge. Most markets take 2 lb; gift and hand-out programs usually want 1 lb.
Do you do private label or custom packing?
Ask. Small runs are possible depending on the season.
Do you carry other varieties in bulk?
Yes — Zahidi in bulk on request, and Barhi in season, August through September.
