Dates are a once-a-year crop. Most of what is sold online at any given moment is either last season’s fruit out of cold storage, or a preorder against a harvest that has not happened yet.
Ours are here, on the ranch, ready to pack. Orders leave within three business days and take another two to five in transit.

Ordering for a date on the calendar
If the dates need to arrive by a particular day — a holiday, an event, a gift — work backwards: three business days to pack, two to five in transit. Eight days ahead is comfortable. Five is usually fine. Anything tighter, call the farm on (760) 501-1845 and we will tell you honestly whether it will make it.
Holidays we ship heavily for: Rosh Hashanah, Sukkot and Tu B’Shvat, and Ramadan and Eid.
Why we run out
We are a family farm, not a distributor. We sell what our own trees produce, so when a variety is gone it is gone until the next harvest. Barhi in particular is a short season — August into September — because the fruit is eaten fresh rather than dried.
That is the trade for buying from the people who grow it. You cannot always get everything, but what you get came off our trees and not out of a warehouse.
