Medjool: the best date for snacking, stuffing and gifts
Medjool is the date most people mean when they say “a really good date.” It’s large, soft and moist, with a caramel and honey taste. That makes it the best date to eat on its own, to stuff with cheese or nut butter, to wrap in bacon, to set on a cheese board, or to blend into a smoothie or date syrup.

Zahidi: the best date for baking and for less sugar
Zahidi is a golden, semi-dry date that is firmer and less sweet than Medjool. It chops cleanly without gumming up the knife, so it’s the best date for date bars and date bread, granola and trail mix. What about Barhi and Deglet Noor?
Barhi is the date people hunt for fresh in late summer: soft, buttery and eaten yellow. We grow it, but our Barhi palms are few and the crop sells out fast. It is sold out for this season. See our Barhi dates.
