- Room temperature: Store in an airtight container in a cool, dark pantry for up to 1–2 months.
- Refrigerator: An airtight glass jar or container keeps dates fresh for up to 6 months. The cold firms them slightly — let them sit at room temperature for 10 minutes before eating.
- Freezer: Dates freeze beautifully for up to 1 year. Freeze in a single layer first, then transfer to a bag or container. Thaw at room temperature in 20–30 minutes.
- Bulk orders: For our 10 lb boxes, vacuum sealing individual portions before freezing is the best long-term strategy.
