• Current season. Ask when it was picked. Dates store well, so older fruit can legitimately be sold as fresh.
• Whole and unpitted. We sell them whole, with the pit in. It comes out with your fingers, and the fruit is handled less on its way to you.
• Nothing added. No syrup coating, no sulfites, no added sugar. One ingredient.
• Grown, not sourced. These come off our own palms in Sky Valley, California. Many companies selling dates online are repackers with a warehouse.

• Room temperature: Store in an airtight container in a cool, dark pantry for up to 1–2 months.
• Refrigerator: An airtight glass jar or container keeps dates fresh for up to 6 months. The cold firms them slightly — let them sit at room temperature for 10 minutes before eating.
• Freezer: Dates freeze beautifully for up to 1 year. Freeze in a single layer first, then transfer to a bag or container. Thaw at room temperature in 20–30 minutes.
• Bulk orders: For our 10 lb boxes, vacuum sealing individual portions before freezing is the best long-term strategy.
