Dates in San Bernardino & the Inland Empire — Next-Day From the Coachella Valley
The Inland Empire sits one mountain pass away from the valley that grows nearly all of America’s dates — and still, most dates on IE shelves took the long way there: farm to packer to distributor to warehouse to store. Our farm is in Sky Valley, on the north edge of the Coachella Valley. A box leaving our cold room reaches San Bernardino, Fontana, Rialto, Ontario, Corona or Moreno Valley the next day by ground. No other region in the country gets our fruit faster.
Dates in the Inland Empire, farm-direct: jumbo Medjool from $19, golden Zahidi from $15, bulk cases from $9.00–$9.50/lb freight included — arriving next day from Sky Valley.
We grow these. Golden Zahidi Dates — Nutty, Less Sweet, Never Sticky | California Farm-Direct from our family farm in Sky Valley, California — from $15/lb, shipping included. See them →
Bulk cases for the Inland Empire
| Case | Price, freight included | Per pound |
|---|---|---|
| 24 lb | $228 | $9.50 |
| 36 lb | $333 | $9.25 |
| 60 lb | $540 | $9.00 |
Prices are posted and the same for everyone — markets, restaurants, bakeries and families splitting a case. Because the IE is next-day ground territory, bulk fruit arrives as fresh as it left the cold room. Full bulk program here.
For the IE’s masjids and Islamic centers
San Bernardino and Riverside counties are home to one of Southern California’s fastest-growing Muslim communities, with masjids and Islamic centers across San Bernardino, Fontana, Rialto, Ontario, Corona and Riverside. Every Ramadan they buy dates by the case to break the fast — and most of those cases are imported fruit bought through distributors at retail-adjacent prices.
The alternative is one valley over: California Medjool, grown and packed by the family that picked it, at $9.00–$9.50 a pound with freight already in the number. Dates are whole raw fruit with a single ingredient — nothing added, nothing coated. We wrote a full guide for masjid and Islamic-center bulk buying, and Ramadan 2027 begins around February 18 — pre-orders are open now, and a deposit locks today’s price.
