Medjool or Zahidi, whole and unpitted. Shipping is included on shipped orders to the lower 48. For Coachella Valley businesses, collection or local drop-off can usually be arranged — call the farm and we will work it out.

Why buy from a valley farm rather than a distributor
You are buying from the grower. We hand-pollinate in spring, hand-harvest in late summer, and pack in a shed a couple of hundred yards from the palms. Nothing passes through a broker, a repacker or a warehouse before it reaches you. If you want to know when a case was picked, you can ask the person who picked it.
Freight is not part of the price. Most bulk dates sold in this valley have travelled. Ours have not. That is the whole reason a Coachella Valley business should be buying Coachella Valley fruit, and it is surprising how often it does not happen.
You can see the work. Every bunch on our palms gets bagged by hand before harvest to protect the fruit from birds and weather. This is what that looks like:
You can come and look at the grove. We are at 23925 Longvue Rd in Desert Hot Springs. If you are placing a standing order, call first and come and see the trees the fruit comes off. Very few suppliers can offer that, and none of the distributors can.
What we grow
Medjool — large, soft, caramel-sweet. The one most people mean when they say dates. Jumbo grade runs roughly 22 to 28 per pound.
Zahidi — golden, semi-dry, firmer and less sweet with a nutty finish. Better for baking, chopping and savoury work, and it keeps far longer. Almost nobody in the valley sells it as whole fruit at wholesale. See our Zahidi vs Medjool comparison if you are deciding between them.

We are not certified organic and we do not describe ourselves as organic. We grow without pesticides, which is a narrower claim and the accurate one. Several excellent certified farms operate in this valley if certification is a requirement for your business.

What is the minimum order?
A 24 lb case. Below that, our regular boxes go up to 12 lb with shipping included.
Can you supply consistently through the year?
Medjool and Zahidi, yes. Barhi is seasonal. We will tell you plainly what we can commit to rather than promise volume we cannot hold.
Do you do private label or repacking?
Talk to us. We are small enough to be flexible about it.
How fresh is the fruit?
Current season, hand-harvested here. Ask when a case was picked and we will tell you.
