The easy Thanksgiving host gift
Everyone else brings wine or flowers. A box of fresh dates gets put out that same evening with cheese and coffee, and the rest lasts through December. The 2 lb box ($29) is the most-sent size; the 4 lb ($49) suits a big family that will keep reaching for them. Orders leave the farm within 3 business days and usually arrive 2 to 5 business days later, so the Nov 13 date leaves room for the holiday mail.
