Corporate Gifts & Client Gifts: California Dates from the Farm

Most corporate gifts get opened, glanced at and forgotten: another candle, another logo tumbler, another tin of popcorn nobody finishes. A box of fresh California dates from the farm that grew them lands differently. It is real food, it keeps for months, it works for nearly every diet and culture on a client list, and it comes with a story your recipient will repeat. Here is how we handle business gifting at Desert Sun Dates.

Why dates make a good client gift

  • Nearly everyone can eat them. One ingredient, naturally vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free, and whole dates are traditionally accepted as halal and kosher. That clears most of the dietary questions on a mixed client list.
  • They keep. Months in the pantry, up to a year in the fridge. The gift is still good after the holiday rush, unlike a fruit basket.
  • They have a story. Grown and hand-packed by a family farm in the Coachella Valley, the region that grows nearly all of America’s dates. That is something to say in the note.
  • They get shared. A 4 lb box sent to an office goes around the whole team.

How multi-recipient orders work

  1. Send us the list. Names, addresses and the note for each recipient, in a spreadsheet or a plain email. Different notes for different people are fine.
  2. Pick the size. One size for everyone, or tiers — a 2 lb for most clients, a 6 lb for the key accounts.
  3. One invoice to you. We pack each box individually, put your note on top, and ship each one direct. Recipients never see a price.

Sizes and pricing, shipping included

Gift Best for Price each, shipped
1 lb Thank-yous, referral partners, large lists $19
2 lb Clients, closings, the most-sent size $29
4 lb Offices and teams that share $49
6–12 lb Key accounts and top producers $67–$118

Ten or more boxes? Call or email for volume pricing. Over 24 lb going to one address, such as an office breakroom, our bulk cases start at $9.50/lb and go to $8.75/lb, shipping included.

Realtors, lenders and title reps: a closing gift of California dates gets remembered longer than a gift card, and it lands on the kitchen counter of the house you just helped sell.

Holiday timing

Every box is packed by hand on the farm, so lists go out in the order they come in. For December gifting, send your list by the first week of December; standard transit is 1–5 business days after packing, depending on distance. Earlier lists get earlier ship dates, and dates arrive in no danger of spoiling if they land a week early.

Common questions

Can each box have a different note?
Yes. Put the note next to each name on your list and it goes on top of that box.

Will recipients see a price or invoice?
No. Gift orders ship with the fruit and your note only. The invoice comes to you.

Do you ship to Alaska and Hawaii?
Yes. Those addresses are rated at checkout because they genuinely cost more to reach.
