Sukkot begins at sundown on Friday, September 25, 2026 and runs through October 2. Order by Thursday, September 17 and your dates arrive in time for the first night in the sukkah — hand-harvested California Medjool, shipped farm-direct from the Coachella Valley.
The Harvest Festival, From an Actual Harvest
Sukkot is Chag HaAsif — the Festival of Ingathering — the holiday of the fall harvest itself. Here is something we love about that: while you are shaking the lulav and taking meals in the sukkah, we are in the grove doing the exact thing the holiday celebrates. Late September into October is when our Medjool clusters come off the palms, tree by tree, by hand. The dates on your holiday table are not a symbol of the harvest. They are the harvest.
Dates are one of the Seven Species of the Land of Israel — the biblical “honey” of the land flowing with milk and honey is widely understood to be date honey. A bowl of Medjools in the sukkah is the Festival of Ingathering, made edible.
Your Lulav Comes From Our Kind of Tree
Of the Four Species taken on Sukkot — palm, myrtle, willow, and etrog — the tallest and most central is the lulav: a closed, unopened frond of the date palm. Every lulav waved in every sukkah in the world grew from the crown of a tree like the ones on our farm.
We do not sell lulavim (those come from certified suppliers with their own careful requirements) — but if you have ever wondered what the tree behind your lulav looks like when it is doing its other job, that job is dates, and it is happening on our ranch right now.

The Ushpizin Platter
Sukkot is the hospitality holiday — guests, invited and mystical, every night. A platter of whole Medjools, nuts, and fruit is the effortless centerpiece that sits out all evening in the sukkah and never wilts, melts, or needs reheating.
Stuffed Dates for a Crowd
Slit Medjools and fill with walnuts, almond butter, or goat cheese and honey. They hold up outdoors, kids love them, and a 3 lb box turns into dozens of pieces for a week of sukkah meals.
Seven Species on the Table
Many families decorate the sukkah or set the table with the Seven Species — wheat, barley, grapes, figs, pomegranates, olives, and dates. Ours cover the sweetest of the seven, fresh from this year’s ingathering.
Ordering for the Holiday Week
We ship from our farm in Sky Valley, California via USPS Priority Mail. Western states typically arrive in 2–3 days; East Coast and Midwest, allow 4–6. To be safe for the first night on September 25, order by Thursday, September 17. Sukkot runs a full week of meals and guests — our 6 and 8 lb packs are sized for exactly that kind of week. Every box is whole, hand-harvested fruit with a one-word ingredient list. Our dates are whole, unprocessed fruit; we do not currently carry a kosher certification mark, so please check with your rabbi if certification matters for your observance.
